I wanted to ask you, I recently read (try, but leave it at the second act) Troilus and Cressida, but it was really hard to connect with how Shakespeare treats the figure of heroes there. Have you read it? What are your thoughts on that?
It’s such a strange play— characters quoting Plato and Aristotle a thousand years before they were born, a parody of the Trojan War that outdoes Chaucer. I’ve only read it once, and haven’t wanted to try again. I think it might simply be a parody. But definitely one of his weakest plays.
